instagraming.

I know we are still a couple days shy of it being April, but I think I have gone a little too instagram crazy throughout March - so any more photos would be just too many.

From the looks of my instagram, March was a pretty incredible month for eating lots of good food and drinking lots of good drinks, for fun little adventures to Scotland, Cambridge and - as of today - Brighton, and for some pretty miserable weather. So the one thing I'm asking from April, that March definitely did not offer, is some HEAT!

Happy Easter! I hope everyone has an amazing long weekend!

simply daydreaming.

1// Sunsets, sun-kissed skin and effortless beachy hair.
2// Watermelons for lunch...along with mangoes, pineapple and peaches.
3// Beach days.
4// Light, fresh and easy cooking.
5// Floating.In.The.Pool...need I say more?
6// Coastal road trips with George would make me the happiest.
7// Simple summer dressing.
8// Living in a beach house.
9// Corn on the cob!

So sick of winter! Summer, please fricken hurry up! This is turning into the biggest joke of all time!

the book club.

Sunday morning brunch. My favourite meal of the week. We had originally planned to visit The Albion, but I was craving a good ol' stack of pancakes and knew we could get them at The Book Club. So worth it! This was our first time visiting this little hipster gem, but it definitely won't be our last. If ever you are in the Shoreditch/east London area check this place out. I'm tempted to go back to take full advantage of that amazing bar.

weekend in london.

Other than the fact that my iPhone got pick-pocketed, I had a great weekend! It was more a Friday + Sunday kind of weekend because I wasn't working on Friday but was on Saturday. So on Friday I headed to my all time favourite Borough Market to have the best toasted cheese sandwich ever (!), before meeting up with friends for a Friday night drink at Wahaca and incredible burgers at Honest Burgers. It was such an awesome way to start the weekend.

Then we all know the majorly annoying thing that happened on Sunday, but it wasn't all bad! We started the morning of with an amazing brunch at The Book Club (blog post on the place coming tomorrow) and then headed to the beautiful flower markets. The place is stunning, but unfortunately I don't think I will be in any sort of rush to get back there. We had planned to stay there all morning, grab tea at Lily Vanilli or a glass of wine at The Albion but instead came home to tidy, relax and have a Revenge marathon. It was actually my favourite way to end the weekend.

pretty roses are dangerous.

UntitledUntitledUntitledUntitled
Yesterday we visited Columbia Road Flower Market. These stunning roses caught my eye straight away. This meant that I couldn't stop taking photos of them. I was in my own little world of pretty roses, and only came back to reality when someone bumped into me, walked off and didn't apologise. I didn't think anything of it since that is quite common in London, but I then reached into my pocket to get my iPhone to instagram the pretty roses (of course) when I realised it was missing. I then knew straight away that it had been stolen. I was pick-pocketed  WHAT THE!?! Unfortunately, the scum bag had scampered off before I knew what had happened.

I was absolutely fuming. Of course I've heard about pick-pocketers, and I am extra diligent in places like Barcelona where every single place warns you about the professional petty theft losers, but I never thought it would happen to me and in my home city! I just angers me so much that people like this exist. How bad can their life be that they have to stoop so low to steal a stupid phone. I don't even feel sorry for them. They just need to go! Because not only did they steal my little iPhone, but they also ruined the rest of our Sunday. And I love my Sundays!

We left the market straight away, cancelled the phone and sim card, filed a police report and then came home to make an insurance claim. So hopefully I'll have a new one in a week or two. I just keep telling myself "it's only a phone, it's only a phone" but I still feel so violated. Someone took one of my possessions right off me and I didn't even realise until it was too late. Let's hope karma exists :) and also I'm warning you to keep an extra eye on all of your possessions if you ever visit Columbia Road Flower Market!

I hope you guys had a better Sunday! I'll be back tomorrow with a normal weekend post. x

Happy happy happy Friday! I hope everyone has had a great weekend, and has an even better weekend planned. I'm working tomorrow, but going to make up for it by having a lovely Sunday brunch and explore of the Columbia Road Flower markets with George (don't really care that the forecast is saying that it's going to be 2c). Plus, we are going out for burgers and beers with Liz tonight. Can't think of a better way to start the weekend.

Happy Friday again :) and I posted a little vlog yesterday (hahha), check it out here if you missed it.

five things about me.

Hello! I'm posting this just as I go to sleep and will have Friday's post up first thing tomorrow morning, so I don't have to have this video of myself at the top of the page for too long haha. I'm a leeeettle embarrassed. But, I do love this 5 Things post I've seen around on other blogs and thought I might vlog it to make it even more personal.

It took me an embarrassingly long time to do it without stuffing up or saying something stupid, and most of the videos turned out like the one below haha. But I finally did it, even if I had to just stop and redo #4 on a completely different day! Happy Thursday!

real food market at southbank centre.

On Sunday we had originally planned to head to Columbia Road Flower Market, but since it was so miserable and there was heaps of train maintenance happening, we decided to visit our local food market. The Real Food Market at the Southbank Centre is so lovely. It's small, but you can always find something that will satisfy any craving - I mean, where else can you find a edible earth cake?
