It's been so nice to spend weekends in London so leisurely. When we weren't living in the city, and would just visit on a random weekend here and there, it made me feel like I had to get as much as possible out of it. This usually meant running around from one end of the city to the other. Trying to see new things, but also going back to our favourite spots. We would always end up being so exhausted by Sunday evening.
But now it is just so much easier to have a proper London weekend while taking it all in, seeing as we know we are here next weekend, and even during the week too! It makes me so happy!
Anyyyway, on this particular weekend, George and I explored around beautiful Richmond and Richmond Park, even getting to stop and chat with the wild Rudolph's. It was incredible. Yesterday, we visited Notting Hill, for a stroll along Portobello Road, stopping for a small brunch and coffee at 202 and a little peek into Daylesford Organic.
It was one of my favourite weekends in the city. The perfect first London weekend of 2013!

i wouldn't have even known that this is london! so fun to be seeing so many new details of the city through your eyes :)
ReplyDeleteLove the photos! I'm from Brisbane and used to live in Richmond (moved back home at the end of last year). Richmond and Richmond Park used to remind me of living back home with all the green. You should check out Petersham Nursery if you make another visit to the area.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed your weekend in London, especially Notting Hill :)
ReplyDeleteI've always been obsessed with those boots. Like since I was a little girl. But in the South, only men wear them for working at construction sites/farms/etc. You make them look so cute! Love it!
