My name is Sophie. I am a serious life lover, and truly think that the best things in life are also the littlest. I am originally from Australia, but am currently living in the incredible city that is London, United Kingdom. Thank you so much for visiting The Littlest Things. I hope it puts a smile on your face.
Snow is my absolute favourite. It's like a magical blanket that makes everywhere become a playground and makes everywhere look so beautiful. We had the best snowfall over the weekend, and went for the most peaceful neighbourhood walk to pick up our groceries for the week. Any other day, going grocery shopping is a pretty mundane activity. But not when it's snowing. It's crazy how it does that. I'm telling you, it's magic!
There are definitely no "January blues" around here when the city is covered by beautiful snow!
It really is magical isnt it? I found myself (rather oddly) getting quite distressed to see this winter wonderland get blackened by cars and mud underneath. I love it when it's perfect! The thaw is quite sad! Lovely pictures though Soph - you captured it. Lou x
absolutely gorgeous! i love the first snowfall. we haven't had any here so the january blues are definitely sinking in.... but this weekend looks promising!! xo
i WISH it would snow here. want to hear something horrible ironic? It is snowing everywhere in the UK and EASTERN scotland..aka everywhere except here in glasgow. its just bitter cold and ugly. what is my life??
Jaw dropping. I'm so jealous of all the amazing snow you've been getting! It's amazing how some of the most ordinary places look so magical with a layer of snow. ;)
I think snow is so pretty, but it's been snowing for a week straight here and I'm totally ready for dry driving conditions again... xo Josie www.winksmilestyle.com
Oh, I envy your snow!! Took me a really long time to appreciate it (Aussie here too that moved to a cold state in America, Minnesota). Snow is what gets me through those long cold winters. Sadly we've only really had one big fluffy flaked snowfall in December and just a scattering of dust since then.
I love the snow when it first falls. After it becomes a grey slushy mess, I can do without, haha. You've captured it so beautifully in these photos!

I love the way you captured the snow suspended in the air. So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI wish NYC was getting more snow. We just have frigid temperatures.
