the littlest things.

So many little things are currently making me happy at the moment that it can be a little hard to cull these posts. Things currently; spending time on the harbour, wine & nibblies with Eddy, stunning Woollahra terrace houses, jewellery from the markets, being by the sea, chilling with Ed, late afternoon drives over the Harbour Bridge, cool wine bar interiors, steak lunches, and bare winter trees. How could they not make you happy?

Hope you guys have an awesome weekend!

little life.

Whenever I come home, I always mean to go through all the thousands of mum's photo albums, but never get the chance. So I knew that I had to make it a priority this time once I was home again. I am so happy I did. I can't help but smile or laugh at every photo.

My friend Carla (who I grew up with) and I had a scanning day around the kitchen table, re-living all the amazing years from our little lives. Three things I learnt; #1. Eddy was so fricken adorable, #2. My dad looked like he was 15 when we were little, #3. We had the most magical childhood thanks to the best parents ever.

Eddy's snuck home from the snow (where he's living and working for the season) to surprise us on Monday afternoon. I hadn't seen him since I got home two weeks ago, so it was the best surprise of all time. We chilled out together all afternoon before having one of our classic family dinners around the table.

Then, yesterday, Eddy and I went on a little Sydney adventure. We cooked up a big fry up for brunch, explored around Woollahra and Paddington before hitting up our favourite sushi spot for a late lunch. Counting down until he's back again next week for his 21st birthday.

Saturday lunch: the most magnificent part of any weekend. Especially when it involves home made pasta and fresh clams bought at the fish market. My dad and I cooked this meal up for a bunch of our awesome family friends on a beautiful late winter Saturday afternoon. With the addition of some crusty bread, plus a glass of wine in hand (not the mention the brilliant company) it was non-other than perfection.

weekend in sydney.

When I am away from home, I hold Sydney so strongly in my heart, but after a while I forget the tiny little things that I love about it so much. I just know that it's my favourite place in the world. Then weekends like this happen, and it all comes rushing back. Those feelings of pure contentment. That cool, causalness of Sydney that feels like its apart of me.

We spent the weekend by checking out Kirribilli Markets, picked up some beautiful seafood from the fish markets, went over to a friends house and cooked up a delicious lunch for everyone before a family friends 50th that night. On Sunday we headed to our favourite Sydney beach for a pure chill sesh and bacon and egg rolls, before meeting more friends at a new and exciting wine bar (in sleepy suburban Sydney), Super Bon, for a few drinks.

It was the ultimate Sydney weekend! But they all seem to be "the ultimate"! It's because the place is just unbeatable!
