pink & peplum.

I haven't shared an outfit in what feels like forever. Since the winter-like weather carried on for the majority of this month, I haven't been so inspired to get out and take photos.

But summer has finally decided to arrive, and these two little pieces are too precious not to share. I bought them before going on our Euro adventure, thinking it was going to be hot enough to wear them. How wrong was I? We were rugged up in pretty-much-winter clothes the whole time.

So ready to be able to wear shorts and dresses without insane amounts of layers. Even if it means showing off insanely white legs.

gaudi's barcelona.

We fell in love with Barcelona for many reasons; the delicious tapas and the multiple jugs of sangria; the beautiful beaches and the relaxing parks; the lively streets and the quiet alleys. But the thing which won me over was the multiple features of Gaudi's work.

Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo and Park Guell are all unmissable!

frozen grapes.

Frozen grapes have to be the perfect snack for these hot and humid summery nights, when craving something refreshing and healthy. They instantly remind me of summers in Sydney, when we used to have them nearly every day.

This is what I love about the warmer months; laid-back eating. Summer perfection.

weekend in london.

I have never experience a weekend in Britain as magical as this one. The weather was flawless, we spent pretty much every second outdoors; in the garden, going to the rugby and playing backyard cricket. We popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate George finishing exams. On Sunday we stumbled upon a pop-up beer garden on the South Bank where we had burgers and cider in the sun.

We both realised that we have never had a proper summer in the UK. Instead, most have been spent in Europe. But if this is what summer is like here, then I am so excited to be staying.

friday happiness.

I am currently sitting in a Starbucks in sweltering London. This city is really turning it on today. It's an even more amazing city than usual, when the sun comes out. I got here early this morning and stepped out at Trafalgar Square to brilliant blue skies and the hustle and bustle of London. It just took my breath away!

This weekend we are here visiting George's family. So excited for a beautiful sun-filled weekend. Hope it's just as sunny and summery for you too!

P.S I guest posted for Simone yesterday. Check it out here!

freedom.

George has recently been on study leave for his CIMA exams. It has been an intense three weeks of study for him. And now it's finally over! His last exam was today.

We are currently celebrating with takeaway noodles and a bottle of crisp white wine on the sort-of balcony of ours. Summer has arrived!

It reminds me so much of this time last year!

vanilla cupcakes.

I think I love pretty much every kind of cupcake there is out there. When in bakeries, picking up a little sweet treat, I often have a very hard time trying to decide which flavour to go for. There are just too many to choose from. Tough decisions.

But more often than not, I end up buying my original favourite - the vanilla cupcake. So simple but so so good. A few weekends ago, I decided to make them using this recipe (but I halved it) for the cake and the easiest and yummiest icing recipe for the frosting (a little butter + tiny bit of boiling water + quite a lot of icing sugar = heaven).

I made them again last night.

tour eiffel.

Any trip to Paris has to include a few visits to and around the Eiffel Tower. We always seemed to end up there sometime in the afternoon, or on late night strolls after dinner.

Watching the beautiful tower sparkle was the perfect way to end a magical day in Paris. I need to go back!
