it's friday and The Royal Wedding is making me happy
I couldn't help myself. I just had to write about The Royal Wedding. Everything about it was breathtaking. I could not take my eyes off the TV. It was the most beautiful day and I was so happy to be in the UK for it. I will always remember it.
I am now off to watch replays of it all night haha. Such a hopeless romantic, but with everything that I have seen today, I don't know how I couldn't be.
Did you watch it?

perfect scones with strawberry jam and cream
Scones have always been a personal favourite of mine. Especially since they come with whipped cream and strawberry jam. I could eat them every day. So since it is the Royal Wedding in less than 24 hours, I decided to whip some up to get in the British spirit. I used this recipe which I highly recommend. It's so easy to follow and they come out, well...perfect, as they are called in the recipe. Very fitting name for them. The only issue is the fact that you have to be prepared to get a little messy with flour flying around everywhere and with your kitchen ending up looking like this. They are definitely worth it though. The perfect afternoon tea.
feeling a little bit french
The first thing I am going to buy when this shopping diet finally ends (I still have a whole month to go) is accessories, accessories and more accessories! Finally I have caught onto the fact that they totally do complete an outfit. I never believed magazines before, when they constantly used to write that. I guess I was just so fixated on buying a new clothing item that I always overlooked adding a statement necklace or an awesome cuff or bracelet. The best thing about this new shopping view is the fact that adding accessories to my closet is way, way cheaper (especially everything from H&M - I can't believe how cheap H&M accessories are). This shopping diet was definitely a good idea.
This hair-style in these photos is everything I have been feeling towards my hair recently. Just chuck it up in a knot and be done with it haha. At least adding in a head scarf makes it look way more interesting (hello again accessories, so happy I found you).
Happy hump day! Less than two days until the Royal Wedding. To be honest, I am really quite excited. The atmosphere in the UK is amazing right now, and I am getting so excited to see what Kate wears. Megan and I will be watching it on Friday morning (including all the build up) while sipping on some champagne. Who doesn't love a wedding? Will you guys be watching?

in my own world with my head in the clouds
My head is in the clouds....constantly dreaming.
Days spent at the beach, fresh fruit, Celine S/S11, going on travel adventures, Jessica Stam for aussie mag Russh, decorating a home, the laid-back style I love, bright sunny mornings, Abbey Lee in gorgeous fur, and the fact that I need to print all these photos out to make my own inspiration board.
weekend in photos.
A weekend filled of; crazy bright tulips which always make me smile, cooking on a tiny disposable BBQ (it cost us £3 haha, but was surprisingly alright. It provided us with a lot of entertainment anyway), chilling with Megan, lake walks in the beautiful sun, sitting in the beautiful sun, baking ANZAC biscuits for ANZAC Day, wine drinking and long chats with Megan, eating the delicious BBQ food and eating Benny, my chocolate Easter bunny, in under an hour since waking up on Sunday. Record time.
Definitely the makings of a perfect Easter weekend.
it's friday and this is whats making me happy
How is it already Easter? This is crazy. But good crazy. I love Easter and the fact that you get to eat so much chocolate (well in my case you do). I have my chocolate Easter bunny ready for me for Sunday morning. I don't know how I haven't eaten it already. Miracles happen everyday.
So the things which put a massive smile on my face this week included; beautifully fresh blueberries and blackberries, using mini wine bottles as flower vases and getting inspiration from Bill's Sydney Food, longer days when it doesn't get dark until around 8.30pm, being able to stop and smell the roses (blossoms in this case), stumbling on a mini waterfall around the lake, George's enemy in cat form who scratched him so aggressively (haha), and endless late afternoon chilling in the back yard.
Hope everyone has a perfect Easter weekend!
