covering both hemispheres.

This week, it has been pretty difficult trying to find the time to snap up some outfit photos. I have also been feeling extremely uninspired by what I have in my closet. I always seem to feel this way when I know I will soon be leaving one climate and going to the complete opposite one on the other side of the world in only a few short weeks.

So, when feeling like this, I always tend to try finding inspiration for both the hot and the cold. This also acts as a little gift guide, since I know my Mum would love some of these items; including both the candles, the perfumes and that insanely gorgeous cashmere blanket from Hush.

Now, if only Santa is extremely generous this year....

P.s Happy Thanksgiving to everyone (even though I have never celebrated it before. Why isn't it a world recognised holiday? It sounds like the best one. Along with Christmas of course!),

  3. Dearest Sophie,

Well, Thanksgiving should be carried over the entire year round! We all have so much to be thankful for, in many ways. In today's post I've explained a bit about the history of the American Thanksgiving that the Pilgrims introduced, coming from Leiden, The Netherlands.
Nine of the US Presidents came from the Pilgrims...
Great title you choose for covering both hemishperes. As international consultants we often coverd three continents in one single month and look therefore quite different at fashion 'world wide'. With my background in fashion I now view the global fashion completely different as anything is available at any given moment, somewhere in the world! Those that have a taste of their own will know how to select and those that don't, rely on a few trendsetters (for their area and hemisphere!) to guide them...

Have a great weekend and love to you,

    Mariette
