weekend in cardiff.

This weekend couldn't have been any better. On Saturday morning, I woke up to a phone call from the job which I was hearing back from, telling me that I was successful (!). So from Wednesday onwards, I'll be working for Reiss and I couldn't be any more happier/more excited. The incredible news called for a lot of jumping around the apartment, quickly followed by a champagne breakfast.

The rest of the day was perfectly low-key. We stayed in and watched movies while it was pouring down with rain outside. I baked some brownies, had an hour long bubble bath, made a mood board with a collection of pictures which have recently inspired me while I revelled in the fact that I could cancel future interviews and would no longer have to search for a job. Cardiff is all falling into place...

On Sunday, we attempted to get the train down to a little coastal town called Penarth, however all the trains suddenly got cancelled upon our arrival to the station. So the station master called a taxi and paid for it to apologise for the inconvenience...as you do! That was a perfect example of how amazingly nice the Welsh are.

So happy we eventually got down there, since it was such a beautiful way to spend a sunny, Sunday afternoon. I'll definitely be going down there again as soon as possible.
