Today; the first day where I feel like I am back from an extended summer break. A summer break beginning with George graduation, travelling to Sydney to spend time with my family, going apartment hunting in Wales, sailing around Sicily for two weeks with George's family, moving to Cardiff and unpacking everything, then getting settled in before Jem came to visit for a week, who just left this morning.
So our last weekend of our extended summer break was filled with adventures. So much so, that I have to split the post up into two parts. Between going down to the seaside, walking through our favourite park, baking this cake, going for breakfast at an adorable little cafe, late afternoons spent watching movie after movie while it pit pattered rain outside, we just had the best time.
The weekend went way too quickly, as all weekends seem to but..it now feels like life in Wales can officially begin...if you know what I mean.
Stay tuned for Part II.

and of course there had to be a rainbow to top of the most incredible summer break... do you think if we wiggle our noses at the same time we can switch places? Just for a day? that'd be fun.. I'll roam around Cardiff and you can do my homework. Sounds fun, right?
ReplyDeleteOoooh, this sounds like such a lovely weekend. And those houses are gorgeous; I love the pastel colors!
