(long) weekend in thredbo.

My idea of a perfect long weekend? Spending it in the place where I learnt to ski, where I taught people to ski and where I love to ski with my family and friends. That place is none other than Thredbo, Australia. I got the strangest feeling driving into the little ski village - another one of those nostalgic feelings which I just can't seem to get down into words. It seems like the feeling is beyond words.

Unfortunately, this season we only got to go down for a few days which is hardly enough. I had trouble leaving, and was sort of wishing I was sticking around for the whole season like last year. But at the same time, since we only had a few days there, we tried to fit as much skiing in as humanly possible. So I am currently feeling ridiculously sore.

Our days started at 6.30am to make sure we got the first lift at 8.30am; skied for the morning before meeting up with my mum (who doesn't ski) for lunch, carried on skiing for the afternoon right up until the last lift before heading to The Denman for pre-dinner drinks.

So happy we were able to sneak down for a few days to see Eddy before leaving for London tomorrow! Now I have to go and pack...again!

As always...time just goes way too quickly.

Hello sweet...ah the ski girl is back! Know how you love it. How great to share with George. Hope you are OK about going home though...the homesickness must be hard. I have really enjoyed seeing your pictures, quite the photographer Miss Sophie. Lou x

Just when I think you can't get any cooler, I see you post about skiing. You are a girl after my own heart! Not only is Australia my dream vacation of choice but I grew up skiing my whole life and quit college to go snowboarding full time and never went back to college :)

You are just too cool for school :)
