weekend in photos.

With George's first exam a week away from today, my weekends have become increasingly repetitive. Not complaining though as it means I have been able to really focus on photography. (It also means I get to hang out with the gorgeous Megan, sipping on coffees and chatting away until the late afternoon). When I first got my Nikon for my birthday last year (11 months ago today) I was so completely overwhelmed with everything about it that I rarely ever took it off "automatic".

Finally I have been getting used to it and I haven't put it on the auto setting once this year. I'm obviously not a professional but I am so happy that I now understand what things like aperture and ISO mean. A long way to go but these weekends of solo photography adventures are definitely helping.

Your pictures are always beautiful! I got my first DSLR for Christmas and have yet to take it off automatic...it's so intimidating! Did you get any kind of book or manual to learn?

I wish we could have a photography date.

Wouldn't it be the best?

Also. You and your shoes are the cutest.

lovely :) I, too, have just begun turning the camera off automatic.. it's nice to be able to take photos and not have to edit them- yours are perfection!

i am sort of in the same boat as you photography wise. the book understanding exposure helped me a lot.

Oh xD I know what you mean! Although I don't use automatic anymore I still don't really know what I'm doing - there's SO much to learn!

I'm no expert but I think your pictures are getting better and better. Especially as a lot of what you shoot is ordinary British life and you manage to make it look interesting and pretty! That's not always easy... Lou x

These photos are amazing, you take beautiful pictures! I'm trying to get a little more into photography. School makes it difficult to find the time to sit down and read the manual, but I'm working on it.
