summer lovin'

SUMMER: Is well on its way here in Sydney and I am loving it. Just really appreciating the warm weather here until I have 2 months in the UK cold (even though I am really excited). It has actually worked out perfectly - I get the beginning and middle of spring here. The end of autumn and beginning of winter in England. Then back to Sydney for smack bang middle of summer for long days at the beach. Then of course back to England for an undecided amount of time - could be 6 months or 2 years. LIFE IS EXCITING.

change is constant

"When we say things like 'people don't change' it drives scientists crazy. Because change is literally the only constant in all of science. Energy, matter, it's always changing, morphing, merging, growing, dying. It's the way people try not to change thats unnatural. The way we cling to what things were instead of letting them be what they are. The way we cling to old memories instead of forming new ones. The way we insist on believing, despite every scientific indication, that anything in this lifetime is permanent. Change is constant."
- Meredith Grey (Grey's Anatomy Season 7)
When I hear 'people don't change' it drives me crazy too, not just scientists. Because I have changed. And I am happy I have.
I haven't told any of my old school friends about my blog or that I eventually want to work in the fashion industry. And its funny isn't it, because even though I love that I blog and that I have realised what I want to do, I still try to be who I was when around old friends.
You see, at school, I was probably one of the people you would least expect to want to work in fashion or to have a blog. I was the one who was obsessed with sport and pretty much nothing else.
So now when I see my old school friends I feel like I have to be who I was and not who I am now. Because that is who they are expecting. And If I were to tell them my "dreams and aspirations" (just to be really corny) they would probably think I was joking.
But I am so happy I did do what I wanted to and took 3 years out of studying to allow me to change and realise what I want to do.
So if I love the change in myself then old friends should too shouldn't they..?

wedges wedges wedges wedges wedges wedges wedges wedges

Desperately seeking the perfect pair of wedges. I'm a bit late to the party on this look. I have only recently started to grow a fondness of them. But after looking at all these photos, I am seriously in need of a pair asap.
They are my new addiction.
I haven't found the perfect pair yet...but I think it's because there are just way too many beautiful options.

i seriously want to...

wake up here tomorrow.

i cannot wait to wear you...

(coat from asos.com)
My new camel coat which I received a few weeks ago now has patiently just been hanging up in my wardrobe waiting for me to finally wear it.
I cannot wait until I am in the cold London weather for the sole purpose of wearing my beautiful coat.
Although, for the time being...I am very much enjoying the early summer temperatures here in Sydney.

dolce and gabbana have done it once again.

this is why i am in love with sydney

because of...the charming, bustling street filled with coffee shops and restaurants with blue sky as the backdrop
because of...this stunning, stunning, stunning view in the afternoon light.
and because of...how colourful it is in spring. I picked myself a mini bouquet of the prettiest colours.

the perfect Sunday afternoon!
(would have been more perfect if George was here too)

(hat from asos.com)
Hello my new hat.
Recently just arrived from London (loveeee waking up to deliveries in the form of clothes), and I haven't taken it off.
I wore it out to lunch today (well, technically yesterday, as its 12.20am) with two of my favourite people (fellow ski instructors) and it was perfect for the ridiculously beautiful and sunny Sydney day.
And it is obviously the best "bad hair day" cover up, so I love it even more.
The best accessory ever. Yep, the best accessory ever.

overflowing with an abundance of inspiration

I know I regularly post "inspiration" posts, with a mixture of images that make me happy and reminiscent. But I have a full folder of hundreds and hundreds of pictures that really do inspire me.
And what better place to share them then here.....
pretty much a collection of fashion, flowers, picnics, food, models like Lindsey Wixson who is stunning and also beautiful illustrations like those found from Kaleidoscope Eyes
have to say...its a pretty good collection.

i want to...

this is what i love

Yesterday afternoon was an afternoon of going through all my favourite collections from NYFW.
These were my top 10.
I seriously wish I could have seen them from even the back row...maybe one day.
Now that London fashion week is well underway, I've already got my favourites, though thats for another post.
What were your faves from NYFW?
