M.I.A

CURRENTLY: Sitting in a lodge in Thredbo paying for the internet, but absolutely loving being here. I have been skiing and working non-stop since I've been here, teaching the cutest little kids to ski. It's so rewarding when you see them getting better and better with everyday and are having the best time.
So this is the reason for why I have been M.I.A for quite a while. My poor new Nikon has hardly seen Jindabyne/Thredbo (living in Jindy, working in Thredbo) so these are photos from the 2008 winter season I spent here.
Happy tuesday!

LeopardPrint

LOVING: Leopard print. But I don't think I would be game enough to wear leopard on leopard, instead I am loving the subtle addition on leopard print into outfits.

new home (for 3 months)

After a longgggggg 6 hour road trip from Sydney to Jindabyne we are finally here, in our new home for the winter season.

Prior to this, we have had the most hectic weekend which is the reason for my absence :(
It was definitely one to remember being filled with birthday celebrations.

This is the weekend summed up...
Saturday
We spent the day with my whole extended family (including family friends) over for the afternoon to celebrate my 21st. It was such a fantastic afternoon catching up with so many close friends and family.
As I love my Grandma's sponge cake so much I got her to make one for the party!

Sunday
Sunday evening was a night spent with my friends coming over for a romantic little dinner cooked by my dad (46 lamb cutlets on the recently built bbq).

Perfect weekend.
But right now I am rushing as I am at the local pub where we get free wifi, so hopefully I will be able to blog as much as possible.

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend/beginning of the week!

Little gifts

LOVING: The gifted Chanel nail polish from my brother and the gifted Agent Ninetynine ring from one of my oldest friends.

Cheeky bit of Sydney

This is Sydney in some of its most amazing beauty.
Ever since George has been here, Sydney has literally been showing off how beautiful it is. Perfect timing.
Yesterday, our day started with lunch with a friend in the city and then driving all around the Eastern Suburbs.
Couldn't have been a more perfect day.
And even better...it ended with chilling out around our newly made fire in my backyard

bestbirthdayever!

These past few days have been amazingly hectic and I have loved every minute of it.
Ever since we picked George up from the airport on Tuesday morning, we have been run off our feet having yummy breakfasts, long days of shopping, lunches, dinners, catching up with friends and family, and of course a perfect evening out in Sydney to celebrate my 21st birthday.
I honestly couldn't have had a better day/night.
My parents gave me a Nikon D3000 which I haven't put down since opening it and here is some proof:
(pre-dinner drinks at Opera Bar)
(Dinner destination: Level 5 Cafe Sydney)
(the amazing company of my dad, mum, brother and George)
(the ridiculously amazing food)
(me and Ed)
