Today I received a letter from my local MP to wish me a Happy 21st birthday. A complete surprise haha but it got me thinking about my 21st in 3 weeks time. I always feel like its ages away and theres no need to worry about planning it yet (clearly a procrastinator) but every day turns into weeks then months and now its only 16 days until my birthday and 20 until my I have a lovely little intimate dinner party to celebrate with the people I love.
So today I started to plan and I am looking forward to it incredibly. I kinda want my outside deck to be transformed into a scene like the one above.
I am definitely looking forward to the amazing food that will be cooked by the dad (the chef) and also some delicious cocktails and a few glasses of wine and then finishing up with some scrumptious dessert (not sure what that will be though yet - but thought these chocolate coated strawberries looked yummy enough) AND of course definitely looking forward to the lovely company.
Although, since I spent the afternoon looking through cookbooks I have overwhelmed myself on what to have for the main course. So as I know some of you other bloggers out there are experts in the food and entertaining department I thought I would ask a few ideas on what to have for the main meal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Happy Tuesday :) xxx

Hi Sophie - thanks for your lovely comment today and say 'hi' to George! Haha. I know I said this before but are you sure you are 'only' 21? You are so wise...either you have been reincarnated or your parents did an incredible job bringing you up to be so balanced. When I think what I was like at 21, well I wasn't quite as switched on as you! I am sure your celebrations will be wonderful and if they have twinkly lights and great food - you'll be set. Louise x
ReplyDeleteWe can't forget the curry puffs!! xxx
ReplyDeleteI wish I had some good tips. Whenever my birthday comes around I NEVER know what to do then I find myself still not knowing even on my actual birthday! Just remember to enjoy the day, and not stress over the details of planning. Just have fun with it!
ReplyDeleteBe sure to try to the crostinis! I couldn't find the tag but no worries! Your blog is gorg and so are you :)
ReplyDeleteI'm dying for a Summer soiree, just like the top photo! So magical! Just remember that the decor sets the stage, but the people you invite are what "makes" the party! I hope you have an amazing 21st birthday Sophie, whatever you decide to do!
